So.... Propellerhead appear to have finally caved and added audio recording into Reason in Version 6 by combining Record and Reason into a 64 bit offering! Looks pretty tasty too with the SSL modelling EQ and master buss compressor as well as some rather interesting looking effects for creative use including a playable stutter/echo effect... sounds ideal for dubstep... Which will hopefully die and crawl under a very large rock quite soon!
Nice as it appears to be Mr Barratt, it annoys me that Propellerhead always restricts Reason to internal plug ins.
ReplyDeleteThere are some waves plugins that I love to use, but I wouldn't be able to with this.
That said, I see your point regarding dubstep etc and wonder whether my particular problem with it really equates.
I agree with you... but it is a very stable workstation on a budget, cpu friendly and the SSL eq/master buss are waves plugins too. Which waves plug ins do you favour most?
ReplyDelete@ PittyC if you want to use your favourite plugs on your reason channels its easy. Rewire... does get a little processor hungry once you start piling them up though, but my 4 year old macbook just about handles it. if youre savvy with your processing.
